I have been mulling over the notion of creating my own online magazine covering arts and culture in the Arab world for the best part of a year now – and last night I decided enough was enough and finally created the website that will hopefully go on to become the manifestation of my dream…
…So without further ado, I am pleased to introduce The Arab Review.
The idea behind the AR is to go beyond the headlines and the media narrative of the Middle East and explore the arts, culture and literature of the Arab world for an anglophone audience. Something akin to the Arab-Israeli Book Review and Arabic Literature in English, but with a much wider scope and more focus on nuanced cultural dialogue.
